Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026. This explains what information Reel Briefcase collects, why, and what rights you have over it.

Overview

Reel Briefcase ("we", "us") operates reelbriefcase.com as an independent comparison and information resource for UK-licensed online casinos. This policy covers the personal information we collect through the site, why we collect it, and how you can control it. It does not cover the privacy practices of any operator you visit after clicking a link from this site — each operator has its own privacy policy, which we'd encourage you to read before providing any personal information to them.

Information we collect

We collect very little personal information directly. The main sources are:

  • Contact form or email. If you email us or use the contact form, we hold whatever you send us — typically your name, email address and message — for as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable record afterwards.
  • Cookie preferences. If you accept or decline non-essential cookies through our banner, we store that choice so we don't ask again on every visit.
  • Basic technical data. Standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) may be generated automatically as part of normal hosting, for security and reliability rather than for identifying individuals.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses a small number of cookies, described fully in our Cookie Policy. In short: some are essential to remembering your cookie preference, and some may support basic, aggregated analytics of how the site is used. When you click through to an operator, the link includes a tracking parameter (for example a code appended to the web address) that lets that operator credit the referral to Reel Briefcase — this does not give us access to anything that happens on the operator's own site afterwards.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to respond to enquiries, keep the site functioning correctly, understand roughly how the site is used so we can improve it, and meet our own legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with the operators we compare beyond the anonymous referral signal generated when you click a tracked link.

Third-party links and affiliate tracking

Many pages on this site link to third-party operators using affiliate tracking links, marked with rel="sponsored" in the underlying code. Once you leave reelbriefcase.com, that operator's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply, not ours. We choose operators to compare based on UK licensing status and relevance to readers, not based on their own data practices, so we'd encourage checking each operator's policy directly if that matters to you.

Data retention

We keep contact form and email correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to deal with the enquiry and for a short period afterwards for our own records, then delete it. Cookie preference data persists in your browser until you clear it or it naturally expires.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@reelbriefcase.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulator for data protection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or to legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
